('The Lammas Goddess' painted by Caroline Probyn)

This is a kind of dedication/memory page……

In August 2005 we made a quick trip to Glastonbury again and this time vanessa accompanied us and it was her first trip to this magical town in Somerset.  As well as spending some time in the wonderful Chalice Well gardens, we also visited the Goddess Temple and behind the altar was the wonderful picture I have used on this page – and looking at it, I saw vanessa!

Next day, after a long drive back home, we were relaxing and listening to music and this track came on.  I immediately loved it and recognized it as a song dedicated to a Master, and when I asked about it, sure enough – vanessa had dedicated it to Master David.

But I  feel that I also see the real vanessa – she is a warm, loving, caring, beautiful lady, and I am so pleased to be part of her life and hope that we will remain friends.

The Real Me

Foolish heart, looks like we're here again

Same old game of plastic smile

Don't let anybody in

Hiding my heartache.  Will this glasshouse break?

How much will they take before I'm empty?

Do I let it show?  Does anybody know?

But you see the real me

Hiding in my skin, broken from within

Unveiled me completely

I'm loosening my grasp

There's no need to mask my frailty

‘Cause you see the real me

Painted on, life is behind a mask

Self-inflicted circus clown

I'm tired of the song and dance

Living a charade, always on parade

What a mess I've made of my existence

But you love me even now

And still I see somehow….

That you see the real me

Hiding in my skin, broken from within

Unveil me completely

I'm loosening my grasp

There's no need to mask my frailty

Oh ‘cause you see the real me

Wonderful, beautiful is what you see

When you look at me

You're turning the tattered fabric of my life

into a perfect tapestry

Oh I just want to be me

I want to be me

But you see the real me

Hiding in my skin, broken from within

Unveil me completely

I'm loosening my grasp

There's no need to mask my frailty

Oh ‘cause you see the real me

And you love me just as I am

Wonderful, beautiful is what you see

When you look at me
