Dido
Despite her newfound popularity as a result of exposure on Roswell and through Eminem's Stan, Dido's debut album No Angel was released in June of 1999 in the US and in January 2001 in the UK. It's a must-have for those who enjoy a moody blend of acoustic and electronic music; it's been said that Dido prefers a more acoustic sound, while her brother Rollo (a member of Faithless) assisted in the production of No Angel, which led to the union of these two different musical styles.
Here With Me
I didn't
hear you leave, I wonder how am I still here
I don't want to move a thing, it might
change my memory
Oh I am
what I am, I'll do what I want, but I can't hide
And I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't
breathe, until you're resting here with me
And I won't leave, I can't hide, I cannot
be, until you're resting here with me
I don't
want to call my friends, they might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed, risk forgetting
all that's been
Oh I am
what I am, I'll do what I want, but I can't hide
And I won't go, I won't sleep, I can't
breathe, until you're resting here with me
And I won't leave, I can't hide, I cannot
be, until you're resting here with me.
