Del Amitri

This is a band that was introduced to me by my good friend DaveAngel (one of many bands and singers he has brought my way, thanks Dave x) From Glasgow, (but we wont hold that against them *jk*) they have been recording since late 80s. The tracks I am featuring here are taken from their "best of" album - Hatful of Rain........... 17 British A-Sides released between 1989 and 1998 - really good listening.

  Roll To Me

  Kiss  This Thing Goodbye

  Always The Last To Know

  Just Like A Man

  Spit In The Rain

  Driving With The Brakes On

 Be My Downfall

Cry To Be Found

If you think your mind is ready

Then open your heart and let it fall

But if you keep on hiding from it

You’re not going to live your life at all

‘Cos if it’s love that you want

You’ve got to give me more than you’ve shown

Because the sweet light of love wont come down

If you don’t cry, cry to be found

You don’t cry, cry to be found

~*~

So get yourself together, lady

There’s something you’ll treasure forever more

Make me come out looking for it

And show me you’re worth me waiting for

‘Cos if it’s love that you want

You’ve got to give me more than you’ve shown

Because the sweet light of love wont come down

If you don’t cry, cry to be found

If you don’t cry, cry to be found

~*~

If you can give me a flag to follow

A bright shining path to walk your door

And you may get somewhere at last

If you want it to go

~*~

‘Cos if it’s love that you want

You’ve got to give me more than you’ve shown

Because the sweet light of love wont come down

If you don’t cry, cry to be found

If you don’t cry, cry to be found
